Yoga for preparation for birth, with birth partners

2 hour workshop. Thursday 23rd May 2024, 7pm - 9pm. Current and previous clients £35 / New clients £40 at 6th Fulwood Scout Hut, Beech Drive, Fulwood

At the start of each live class you will have the opportunity to chat with other women. This will give you the chance to connect with each other, share updates and feel the sense that we’re practicing together.

My antenatal yoga classes are suitable for most women and you don’t need any previous yoga experience. Enjoy some gentle movements to ease out tension and build strength; learn a variety of breathing techniques to help you feel calm and empowered throughout your pregnancy, labour and even when your baby arrives; spend time connecting and bonding with your baby and relax deeply in guided meditation. Please wear comfortable clothes and keep a pillow and water close by.

This yoga class is suitable from second trimester (14 weeks) to full-term.

Investing in this class will:

  • help you connect with your baby by introducing you to different breathing techniques (pranayama)

  • explore gentle movements to help ease out tension and remain strong throughout your pregnancy, labour and birth

  • support you to become more informed about your changing body and emotions throughout your pregnancy

  • allow you to deeply relax with a guided meditation and visualisation

  • meet other mamas-to-be in your local area.

  • gain a deeper familiarity with a wide range of pranayama and movements so you can intuitively utilise them at home, during your labour and birth

  • remind you to take the time out of a busy work and home life to care for and bond with your baby

  • empower you to adapt to the physical changes happening in your body as your pregnancy progresses. This can also bring measurable relief to the emotional journey that can accompany pregnancy

  • improve your confidence that you can adapt to any external factors that you may not be able to control.

I look forward to seeing you. Sarah x

Thank you so much for all the amazing yoga classes. I used all that I learnt from you to really help me through labour.

The midwives said I was one of the most chilled people they’d ever seen in labour so I can only put this down to the yoga!
